My composition “Berührungen.Rätsel” was created during my class "Piano Improvisation" for solo acoustic piano and synthesizer/Nord Stage 3 at the university of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. Berührungen.Rätsel is an excerpt from Katharina Schaller´s poem on the first page of her debut novel "Unterwasserflimmern" which highly influenced me during the process of writing and experimenting this piece, seeking to create watery, fluid sounds on the synthesizer whilst finding a counterpoint in the sounds of the acoustic pianos.

How do both instruments coexist, touch each other and their respective sounds? What does it feel like to play both as a musician? How can we translate, or rather let literature and the art of words flow into our work in music and how does it shape our sound, how does the rhythm of words speak through the piano?
